It is unfortunate that knowing the sounds of guns is a survival trait. The tribalism and mini nationalism will need to go before Nigeria can progress.

Iam a Phd student of political science dept, university of Ibadan. I have read a lot on your effort in the Niger Delta region. I am writing a thesis on Minorities and Ethnic justice in Nigeria with emphasis on the ND region. I like to know sir why it has proved difficult for the government to find a lasting solution to the ND struggle. Apart from what l have read from you sir what exactly should the government and multinational oil companies do to at least reduce the recurrent armed struggle. and sir are there no other means to this struggle than arms carring and the bombing of oil installation. The ethnic group associations are dion quite well but is there effort yielding fruits all. what are your recommendations sir. l will appreciate it sir if l can get answers to these questions and any other information l can get to add my voice to the struggle through this theses. if possible sir I will like to speak with you directly through a phone interview, so l may need your phone number to do this. thanks sir. mrs Atiri Z
